Our Challenge

The idea for Hatchet Headwear was born out of frustration. Hats have always been an integral part of our lives — from growing up on the baseball field, to autumn Saturdays spent cheering for our favorite college football teams, to late nights with friends, to countless days chasing new horizons outdoors. Over the years, hats have become a defining staple of our wardrobe and an extension of who we are.

Despite our lifelong love of hats, we could never find one with the perfect balance of comfort, performance, and style we were searching for. Style or comfort? Performance or fit? We were constantly forced to compromise. Eventually, we realized that if we wanted the perfect hat — one that could move with us, breathe with us, and perform wherever life took us — we’d have to build it ourselves.
